I've used mozy for 2 years... with their new plan it will cost me over $1,400/year JUST to keep my current files backed up... that doesn't even include backing up new files.. that's just for keeping my current backup alive! ridiculous. I switched to crashplan.

Check out www.myotherdrive.com

They have 1TB accounts for $240 per year. Back up any amount of computers, unattended back up and if you have tons to back up just put it on and external hard drive and mail it in and they will upload it to your account for just the cost of postage! Oh yeah and they have files sharing too!

This is an outrageous increase. There are many other services offering unlimited services for under £5.

Well done Mozy... This new pricing structure has succeeded in alienating your entire customer base overnight.

If the majority of their customers feel the same as we do, they will be lucky if they are still in business by next week.

I wish the staff at Mozy the best of luck in their search for new employment.

You know where you can stick your new service Mozy...

I see where you guys are coming from. If you are currently backing up multiple computers the 125GB option does get you access for 3 computers instead of having to pay separately for each computer. This is why the cost is some what offset for me. My 2 years for the 2 computers is going to be $209.

1.2 TB!!!! What are you backing up? Use it for data backups not full system backups. I back up my pictures, some important docs, and my iTunes library on 2 computers and it is < 90 GB.

I still have a few months before my "Unlimited" subscription is up and I may look at carbonite but I am not sure how they charge for a second workstation. If they charge the flat rate for each computer it brings the cost (for my needs) in line with Mozy.

I have 125 gigs backed up with Mozy. The plan that use to cost me $104 will now cost me $295. That's crazy! I'm paid up until 03/2012. There is now way to automatically cancel my subscription after my account expires. They're nice enough to renew it automatically and take my money but not the other way around. I'm going to carbonite.com. Their plan will cost me $130 for 3 years. And I'm setting 3 separate reminders for my expiration date on Mozy before they swipe $300 bucks from me.

Well I currently use 1.2 TB and am on the services unlimted plan. With this price jump, my bill shoots up from $88/2years to $2500/2years. Guess who's not renewing in 2012!
